This unit sat for 50 years on the same property this fundraiser is about. Yes, St. John Point. The Eddy family has bequeathed this lovely to MICS. The team is tidying, fixing, and fabricating broken and "removed" pieces.  There is a sound trailer, a sturdy 16-foot two-person sailboat, mast, boom, shrouds and functioning drop keel. Rudder parts cost of $350 will require payment outside bid price, if a rudder is required. We can do it for you, for a consideration to the cause, or DIY with plans we can give you. Trailer works great, new hitch and winch added. 3 foresails, 2 mainsails, cuddy cover and boom tent all washed. Hull now clean of moss, algae and dirt. Picture shows closer to what it will look like when rudder finished. No engine, though. Epoxy work on hiking straps finished. Epoxy paint of cockpit sole begun. This little beauty has starred in a parade, a quilt show, and on Village Bay. She is a 7 foot, 9 inch long stitch and glue epoxy pram sailing dinghy. Marine grade aluminum centerboard drop keel and rudder, hardwood tiller, runners and fittings. Single gaff rigged sail, 2 rowing stations for better balance. Oars and hand cart included. Previously misadvertised as having been pressure tested by Gartside. Gerry says it actually ran in the shop. That was a year and a half ago. It is now awaiting a new owner behind UK Sailmakers at the wharfhead. Develops 37 HP, also previously misadvertised. No transmission. Mid '80s vintage. No indicator of length of service. This fibreglass shell once was on its way to being a sailing dinghy. It has a centerboard trunk glassed into it, and a couple of bench seat supports, and a mast step pocket. The centerboard was subsequently glassed over. Its very light. Fits easily in a pickup or on top of a car. Measures 7 feet by 4 feet. Places for oarlocks. A do-it-yourselfer's dream! We have cleaned it. Because it could go either way, as a rowboat or a sailing dinghy, we'll leave it to the prospective high bidder to determine its future.

The team is now certain that this is a Prostor (Russian) inflatable sailing catamaran. It even says so on the aluminum platform! Folds down into two bags, one 7 feet long and heavy as a man, another 30 lbs. Check it out! Some repair needed on rudder and pop rivetting needed in another place. Otherwise, looks totally intact and in good shape. Worth a heck of a lot more than the grab-bag starting bid. This is a greyhound, waiting for the race! We'll get the rigging and sail up when we've figured how to mount the wishbone boom.
